COBS Bread Night
Looking for something different to do with your crew? We have co-workers, girls night out, family reunion & bonding, community hours — JOIN US!
"Are you going to Bread Night?"
Book your group for an evening of fun at the food bank!
About this event:
Start your evening off at COBS Bread bakery, a community bakery located just 15 minutes from our local food bank. COBS Bread donates the remaining of their freshly baked products each day of the week to different food security organizations! You and your group will meet a dedicated ANIDA team member at COBS to receive one of these generous donations of baked goods. Work with your group in the allotted time to package the baked goods and load it all into the ANIDA vehicle.
Next, everyone meets at the local food bank to prepare to serve between 70–100 families the next day. Once the bread has been loaded inside the food bank, and you and your group are settled, our team members will share a little more about the food bank program and the amazing work you are contributing to. They will work with you to get what needs to be accomplished by the end of night so that we are able to serve all the families that will be visiting the next day. You'll enjoy the rest of your evening bonding with your group as you package fresh bread, pastries and set up the food bank for families in the community.

Senior Delivery Day
Senior Delivery Day is a monthly, year-round initiative where we bring the food bank directly to seniors in their homes.
In partnership with organizations such as Lumacare, we strengthen our ability to support senior clients across Toronto by providing more consistent, hands-on care that meets people where they are. This collaboration allows us to go beyond traditional food bank distribution and ensure that seniors who may face mobility, health, or transportation barriers still receive the support they need.
At the end of every month, typically around lunchtime, our team and volunteers come together to serve in this initiative.
We load supplies into our van, carefully pack food hampers, and prepare everything needed for delivery. Once ready, we travel to designated senior housing communities, going floor to floor to personally deliver hampers directly to residents.
This process includes both loading and unloading, as well as coordinating deliveries in a way that ensures every senior is reached with care, consistency, and respect.
Over the years, this initiative has supported more than 1,200 seniors across Canadian neighbourhoods, helping ensure that older adults continue to receive reliable access to food and support throughout the year.
At its core, Senior Delivery Day is about more than food delivery — it is about dignity, connection, and ensuring seniors are not left behind.
